(HINT:- It doesn’t have to be YOU that does the work).
Let me share a story with you that I think you’ll find both useful and lucrative.
I’ve been earning a very nice full time living online now for well over 20 years and I can tell you without hesitation that it is the best thing I ever did.
Best for my wealth — Way more lucrative than anything else I’ve done before.
Best for my health — Working in corporate life and flying a desk, then working in my own offline business meant working long, long hours, being stressed…
Most people don’t realise that one of the easiest ways to make money that you’ll ever come across, is to simply offer pretty much any service you want to and have someone else actually provide the service on your behalf.
In other words, by becoming the ‘Middle Man’.
You may remember that I’ve touched on this before, when I have talked about how, if you knew anyone who wanted to move house, you could go about introducing one party to another, (buyer to real estate agent), with you being the introducer (middle man) and everyone winning.
(And what if you could actually have FUN while you make that money)?
Ever heard of ‘Entrepreneurial Outsourcing’?
Probably not, because it’s a name I conjured up to describe what I do to make additional cash whenever I need it.
This side income might be made by setting up an easy online project, or an offline project.
As an example of an offline project, I did a simple offline thing back when I lived in Cyprus (and have done the same in other countries since), that brought me in a thousand euros for just being the middleman.
That particular fun…
(Doing the same old thing every damn day)?
Have you ever found yourself stuck in a rut?
Doing the same old thing every bloody day, with nothing really changing in your life and nothing looking like it’s ever going to change any time soon?
Ever felt like that? Perhaps you feel a little like that now?
Let me help you with that right here and now dear loyal reader…
What I am about to share with you is the cold hard truth.
Most often in life, making ourselves realize the truth and making ourselves actually face that truth and begin…
(Sounds a bit weird, but I promise it’s true).
I was chatting to a few friends in a nice little pub in the old Roman city of Chester (my home town in the UK), when I was over there a while ago and the conversation turned (as it often does when I go back) to what I do for a living and how I can live on a lovely tropical island, instead of slaving away in a traditional job as I used to when many of these friends first knew me.
I tried to turn the conversation to another subject…
What? ME? Punch someone in the mouth? I’m just not that sort of guy. I’m a lover, not a fighter. Besides, I’m a bit long in the tooth to go rolling around in the gutter ;-)
I wouldn’t really have punched him in the mouth of course. Besides, he was way bigger than me ;-) It was just that he looked so smug.
Or was it that he really just looked happy? Well, yes, he looked extremely happy.
I had just finished a long, 12 hour day at work, was knackered and still had a 2 hour drive…
(Time is running out, but you can still change track before it’s too late)!
I remember when I was flying a desk in those bad old days, how I kept feeling that time was running out for me to make any sort of lifestyle change.
I knew that I longed for a better way to live my life and be happier and I knew as well that I wasn’t getting any younger either.
I knew deep down though that really it wasn’t too late. I mean the evidence is out there for all to see and I knew that really…
(Here’s what to do instead).
Do money worries keep creeping into your daily thoughts?
As you’re out walking?
Working in the garden?
Laying in bed trying to get to sleep?
The thing about having money worries is that it can be very draining and energy sapping can’t it?
I very clearly remember laying awake at night worrying about not having enough money to pay the bills.
One specific incident always comes to mind when I look back at that time. It was a winter weekend and I was exhausted after not getting much sleep the night before. …
It’s so easy to become so ingrained in the 9 to 5, (or the hunt for a new 9 to 5), that we never give a second thought to what it is that we might actually LIKE to do.
We plunge ahead, going through the motions every day, flying a desk and wishing we weren’t and so the possibilities of an alternative lifestyle never even get considered.
We’ll go on holiday and spend the first few days worrying about what we’ve left behind at work and the last few days wondering what we’ll go back to.
In the middle bit…
And what the hell are you going to do with them?
I saw an interesting question posed in a group I’m in the other day and it resonated with me because of my main focus now in helping people through my DYAL (Discover Your Alternative Lifestyle) program.
Someone had said that they didn’t much like what they were currently doing for a living and that they would definitely be looking to do something more fulfilling in the future.
Someone else asked him… ‘when’ in the future?’… and he replied that he wasn’t sure, but he’d try to look at doing…
