Ever noticed how a really good advertising slogan tends to stick in your mind for years?

Talking of which, I’ve been reading some really interesting stuff this week about how downright clever some advertising agencies and copywriters are.

Some of the ideas they come up with are amazing and there are some real gems in there for any of us interested in marketing online or off.

Now, as you read these, see if they spark an idea or two that you can use yourself!

Here’s a few that might get your creative juices flowing, but they are very interesting stories in their own right anyway.

Double Bubble!

For example, do you remember the TV ads for ‘Alka Selzer’, the dissolvable indigestion tablets?

Well do you remember that the way you took these tablets was to drop one in a glass of water and then drink it after it dissolved?

The company was doing well with sales of ‘Alka Selzer’, but they then took on a copywriter who REALLY knew what he was doing!

This guy came up with the slogan….

“Plop plop, fizz fizz, oh what a relief it is”.
